Hey Ahmed. Mubarak ho on the nom and commiserations on the divorce. May Allah make it easy for you. I also grew up in Chicago and was so confused as a kid to hear the slur of 'beanpie eater' directed at me as an identifiable Muslim. Took a bit of digging as a half-desi, half-white kid on the North Side to figure out where it came from. I later made friends from the NOI and was exposed to real bean pies. You're right, they're really underrated! Anyways, love your work!
